But I really wish that the comic had brought back someone from the earliest part of the story - or even VH1 as a nod to eliminate the character. Frankly, I think that planting the 'bomb' on his armor was pretty cool. But did it have to come from the OXY 27 guy? Why make up a dude and imprison him that can kill the armor? That disappointed me. And at this stage - I am not certain if the authors knew that the end was coming - or it was a preparation to parallel the death of Shanhara or what. Let's just say I liked the idea - but not how it was carried out. And the art, too. WAY too much Image-influenced art here. But not a bad way to start closing the door.
And back to garbage.
Did anyone think that calling himself the unicorn was a good idea? This comic. Painful. Agony. And it was outselling the thing was outselling X-Men at the time. Listen, a few months ago, I would have agreed. But this painful garbage. And this had such incredible history - just a few short years ago in Tales. The Iron Man stories were all relatively strong then - especially compared to the Captain America stories - but also to the Hulk ones. Just so bad. And painful. Why was the comic so comfortable with its own agony? I'm finding anything I want to say spiraling into criticism. Just pass.
