This is a pretty darned good comic. At least for X-O Manowar of late. Many of the books were slipshod, and this one is working its way back to be a much better book. Back to Aric's roots of being a more true warrior - even though he does sort of slaughter most of his enemies lately. He keeps his words to his captors, and finds a new space - humbly - but still keeps the control ring. Well, we all know that Aric is gonna come a reaping as soon as he has any bit of a chance to or reason to go slaughter. OF COURSE they give him a clear one. Well, Aric becomes a BIT too headstrong, and brings, well, it all down on top of himself. As much as I hate that trend of showing the last panel on the cover, this one is pretty cool.
The Unicorn, eh?
What a stupid villain. I mean STUPID stupid. But on the other hand, a LOT of stuff - real character - comes out of Iron Man in the issue. Wanting to abandon his tenure as Iron Man, upset with his tie to the chest plate. Desire to be with Pepper - or anyone. He even abandons himself and relegates himself to NOT be Iron Man anymore. Of course, in a traditional Silver Age manner, he leaves all of this behind, but really struggles with so much of a real-world problem
WOW!
Toss up, here. If you can see it from the Silver perspective.
