But it's so incredibly uneven and strange. I am absolutely uncertain of any real direction that any part of this story is going. So really, I have learned so far that the Shadowman is now taking over Zero? And Zero doesn't really have any friends? Credit to the Acclaim powers that were, they were really trying to find a new flavor for the comic - and a SERIOUSLY fresh author to take over the series. In retrospect, I probably would have chosen him if I could have, as well. But this story is such a mess. I can't frankly tell any part up from down - or if the story really has progressed or not. I am certainly not into the story - or following it. I will continue, but not love it.
At least I feel like the story had a full resolution.
Jumping in with the recollection of the origin, as well as the premier issue on the cover was a good idea. The issue was an easy read. Felt a lot like the old Captain America stories - but a very easy one to get through. I love reading a story about Panther. Again - a bit strongly diplomatic - but a great Silver Age character - and sort of a counterpoint to the old Captain America. I thought that Agent 13 was going to end her little life here in some Bucky kind of way here - wouldn't THAT be the way to start it off? Cheap to put all of those Avengers on the cover when they were just in the flashback, though.
