FINALLY! This character and icon has SUCH an ability to reach within everything - and throw it through the ringer. But those first two issues were just TOO limp. I am reading these comics with a new eye and a vigor I could have never expected to really enjoy. This one is great. And I hate to say it - but it is FINALLY explaining the Deadside - quickly - but it's easy to follow along with the story. Strange to say this, but in a few quick moments, it adds the heart to the story - and without being too graphic or overwhelming, too. It hit me in the chest - and made me stop. THIS is something I can wrap my head around. Just wish that MORE people had made it this far into the story - and I don't think a ton did or could have.
Really, someone needs to kill the Skull.
I mean, what a real pain in the neck! And WHY does Hitler plant so MANY Sleepers? Wouldn't it have been smarter to just USE a few back then? Okay, forget THAT part of the story. Because it actually isn't terrible. It's a relatively easy read, and fun. Great to see Cap really going in action - even if a few of the gadgets are again - cross the line into silliness or crazy names on them. The story shifting, though, to show the other side of the story - where Captain America is 'dead,' and the world learns to live without him. Pretty cool concept - even for Agent 13. Boy is she a waste.
