I was shocked when I flipped over the page and realized that the comic was over. While it paralleled much of the comic written - it stutter-stepped behind the thrust of the Harbinger Wars storyline. That may have been its misstep. The story isn't bad - it just seemed to be in the bed behind every other part of the story. Not that I couldn't figure out where it was going - I just felt like I had been there before. A reading order might be helpful for the whole thing. I also liked the hard reboot instructions, though. That felt complete. I also liked the reference back both to the start of the Bloodshot series with the changing artist - as well as the reference back to the start of the Harbinger Wars. While I didn't hate the comic - it may have been the least of the story.
What was I saying last issue about crossing?
Because this hot pile crossed it right back. Turquoise lightning bolt outfit and all. Pretty certain that it was the one waiting in the can just in case things didn't go well. A few tossed in bits of dialogue later, and it's back into the world of continuity, right? Dead wrong. This one feels old, looks, old, and is old. It doesn't fit on the new Justice stream, and really upsets nearly everything that had been going so well. The story isn't terrible - but it's an obvious fill-in. Tensen (or rather TENSON in this book... uhh... ) runs into a few extremist environmentalists fighting against a few others, and even though he can't QUITE read auras, he realizes at the end that everyone was good. Vomit.
