I am pretty certain I like this - and I wasn't ready to like much of the Harbinger comic after everyone was eliminated. Didn't like the art a ton. It was stylized, for sure. But a bit too strange for my tastes. I did, however, love the defense of Stronghold. The small exchange between the lobotomized man completely humanized Harada. He was excellent. Especially when he went on the attack against the former man - and even assisted his own suicide was priceless. It made the issue.
I never really liked Dr. Strange
And to see him helping Spidey fight some two-bit magic villain is some silly kind of crazy insanity, too. This is a terrible annual. Downright bad. A villain hypnotizes two crooks to take a second half of a wand to transport Spider-Man to some place across galaxies. The issue also has a few pin-ups in the back of the book - including one of the foolish robot that Jameson used. Y'know, for a guy that had SO many great villains in the start, this descended into TERRIBLE for the annual.
