But it is still a pretty good romp. It's strange to me that I don't find many of the individual issues of X-O Manowar as enjoyable as segments. It may be because of their brevity - or the amount of action within them - and less dialogue. But even Ninjak - whom I have loved in the previous issues - wasn't as interesting. Well, strike that. On the few pages he was here - he was pretty much a total awesomely amazing man. BTW - awesomely is apparently a real word. He slices many of his enemies without thought. Back to the old Valiant era with a serious jump forward.
Wow. This one's good.
I wondered why the icon of the book was the MAXX suit. It is silly, and the book hasn't really been about the suit for quite a while now. I have no idea when the concept was relatively abandoned, but this is another great story, and really reminding me how I lost a few parts in it. The remaining 'troubleshooters,' after last month's execution - and now we find a permanent paralysis - pick up the pieces and go onto a serious pursuit of vengeance - bound within reality. Crushing. And Jen is interrogated - and then plots a way to escape. Elegantly - and then is confronted by a reality that I didn't see coming. Great.
