This issue has a few major components in it, and it's nice to see some of them come to fruition. I felt like the writers were really trying to boost up sales by fulfilling a few of the predictions from Rai 0, but it isn't the grandiose happening. First, I do like Faith hooking up in the comic. Nice to see some reality happen to the kid - even if it feels a little contrived. But the artist is doing WAY too much to make her too skinny in the comic. I hate the art - and the story is too pedantic. It seems a bit juvenile in the art, and while I love the story of it from a distance, the reading of it was clumsy, and hard. Not really something I would be interested in re-visiting.
The cover is cool.
And the story inside is a decent one. Not great - but after the mess of everything, I guess it's where it needs to go. I think my brother's friend, David, actually owned a copy of the comic in some almost good sort of condition. But the story really doesn't have a ton to it. It's sort of running around after their big defeat. Although Magneto jumps in at the end - and that is a pretty cool reveal - most of the story is pretty forgettable here. Not to say that these concepts won't be used in the future. Because they WILL be. But here? Meh,
