So, SOLAR is like, the most powerful person on the planet, and he has difficulty attacking these water and air people? Ugh. SOLAR worked when it followed the characters - but here - it isn't working at all. Off to Hawaii? Great. Joining friends? Great. Fighting the earth guy? The air guy? The water dude? SOLAR - and more importantly - Phil - isn't this dumb. How could he really miss all of this? Of course they will try to save Darque by killing SOLAR, but ugh. This one is painful, and doesn't deserve much more of anything to help it out anymore. Two more issues of this?
YEAH! They brought back this character!
Great to see Kraven running around again. Most of the story is pretty quick. It even makes fun of itself in the dialogue, as starting too slowly, and when it DOES get going, it wraps up a few pages before the story's conclusion. It it nice to see much of the story filled with character development. It includes the development of Kraven the character, as well. He was a complex one - or became more complex as the story continued to unfold. We also learn more about Betty, and her connection, too. Heck, the story isn't that bad, either. Kraven disguising himself as Spider-Man, and then trapping him? Nice work, kids.
