I loved the re-imagination of the Unity concept - but I still am not exactly certain of the direction in this comic. It really flips most of the comic writing on its side. Putting Harada as a hero, of sorts helps give perspective on the universe. Each new villain - and its perspective in the comic - really makes the villain concept very fresh. And seeing him interact with Livewire - both her level of reverence for him - and respect for his imprisonment - while tempered by her wishes to escape - really defines a narrow space for her survival. As of this beginning of the book , I don't believe that if she chose escape that she could live beyond a very short moment in time. But tempered by that, the comic then put the ultimate weapon into her hands, and now that conflict could really explode into the new corners and alliances. Aric as a fighter - while he's able to defeat a few members of his tribe - now faces himself and Harada. I see a potential of Livewire to attack not only Aric - but Harada, as well. It could get really interesting. I'm a little disappointed in this comic at Gilad's use so far - and Ninjak, too. They seem not much more than diversions, so far. But I am certain that this will change in the next issue. Certainly Colin was a much bigger factor last issue. Not a bad start - and I know that Dr. Silk is on the horizon - but not completely certain, yet.
