May 17, 2013 - I don't know what it is about this.
The cold is just VERY hypnotic.
I can't tell you how many times I have been wrapped into a story - just because it takes place in some silly cold environment. Maybe it fits this isolationist type of style - or perhaps it's just a place that I have too little affinity for - or perhaps too much memory of. This kind of story gets me. In fact, I found the first half of the story MUCH more intoxicating than the latter half. When the gears shifted to yet another nano-technology beast that Bloodshot was facing, I lost interest, and started going through the motions of reading it. I would keep reading the story of it was infiltration, espionage, control and using the harbinger abilities. But another Image clone? Pass.
When TITANS clash.
Yet another coup is overthrown - and this time, Namor looks to a few in his 'entourage' to be thankful for. And he's a forward thinking guy - not forcing them to bow before him.. Thanks. The story is recycled, but fair. Just wish that he had more enemies - or varied stories. Just don't go chasing Invisible Girl, ok? The second brings Abomination into full force. What a great cover, and re-created endless times. The story is... a good one. Banner traps the Abomination - and uses brains against him. AND the Stranger comes back. Yes, a bad villain, but it does bring the story all around to its closure.
Tough.
But Abomination vs. sub-par conclusion? I lean to Hulk.
