And that isn't really all that great, either. I loved the idea behind it - and some of the art, even. But with changing hands and art and authors so many times - this time it feels like we're starting to have that 'Shawshank' feel with the narration being such an integral part of the story. Not that that CAN'T be effective - but when it changes so often - it gets distressing. I liked the pretty extensive back story behind these characters. And although its resting so much on the narration - it really does have the RICH back story. It concludes too quickly, but its pretty well done.
At least it's not another government coup, right?
Environmentalists in the Sixties? Who would a thought it, eh? Sub-Mariner finds the toxic waste nestled in the Atlantean ocean, and throws it down a bottomless cavern. It uncovers a BEAST from the deep. It has some potential. Especially when the naval subs are brought into the fray, as well. We shall see. The Hulk story is pretty good. At its conclusion. It starts out as a typical Hulk story. Really, I had the strong feeling through it that I was watching an old Hulk show from the Seventies. Watching Banner go into hiding, having nothing, etc. And seeing the world react. Thought THIS would be an appropriate reaction to the world now knowing the true identity. Then, rampaging around - and looking to the skies and questioning... STILL didn't see the mystery guest. Cool.
