Wow. This one was exhausting. It hurt me physically to work to the end of the story. So much mayhem and so much death. And frank reality, too. Brilliant. I felt again that all parties were acting in the right - and that all were flawed and moral, too. Quite a few bodies to the pile here, too. And while I can't really believe that Faith is ending her journey here, it wouldn't surprise me, either. I loved the end of the confrontation - with Harada taking over the PRS, and controlling the new Psiots, too. With his announcement that he was ending the war - and then the Monk's assertion, too, that war never really ends - that was a beautiful reality, too. Excellent. And fulfilling. At least for now. I wanted Bloodshot and Harbinger to get back together, but it doesn't necessarily change or hurt it. If the two had gotten together, it might have felt too forced or hardened.
Back to reality here
A better issue than the last one, certainly. But a lot needs to change. I know that it's trying to follow a real break up of people and character - but some of these guys - Stalker included - seem to go a bit too far over the edge - and then it gets wrapped up too cleanly like a sitcom. It's better that the story is admitted - and Michael is even reflected on in the story - but first - he wouldn't get that crazy - and these kids that flipped out on each other so easily so soon ago are now WAY too forgiving. The changes constantly in most of these books KILLED them. No way to keep that consistency - unless it's really okayed - like in Justice.
