I love this title. Every comic I read, the story just keeps getting better and better, stronger and stronger. One of the better parts about this one is the surprisingly little contact between Bloodshot and the Harbingers - and they are in nearly the same place. It's a brilliant telling of the story - two sides working to complete the full circle. Excellent. The imagining and reality of the plan facing one another are also particularly excellent. I love seeing the two sides of Torque, especially. This may be one of the best parts on the new Harbinger book - the complete re-telling of him and his origins. That hits it out of here. Charlene is becoming a character, as well. I love the fact that she is reading about the behavior of heat and flames before the battle - and it all goes haywire, too - and she realizes she has done little to help. While Torque sticks with his crazed perspective - still spewing his assaults from the ground. Surprised that Pete didn't jump in sooner. But one of the best parts of the comic is the parallel story starting - that will most certainly come to a strong clash by the end of this section - with Harada's past actions - and possible failures.
It's going out there.
One of the things I especially love about the D.P. 7 series is that I really have no idea where any of this can or will be going. It's great to feel and see the sort of insanity - and uncontrollable nature - or a title that is written so well. The striking lines of reality run all through it. In fact, if I was pressed to respond, I might even rank this title above the old Harbinger. Not the first story, mind you. But the strength of this title - still - beats out Harby 1-13 so far. I like the internal conflict, and the true alliance to character so far, too. This one develops more, and doesn't feel it necessary to modify character, either. These people are hurt - they need rest. And perhaps the clinic could help them. Of course, the clinic may kill themselves first! Great writing.
