Two good sides to this comic. On the one hand, the SOLAR/Gayle relationship is getting pretty good. Confronting over extra-super-nastiness, and seeing the faults within their relationship. It's pretty realistic, and seeing all of the change within them is working. Not sure how I feel about her running to her Mom already, but... On the other hand, SOLAR seeing the potential in Phil is great. A few quick looks into the soul of Phil, and Darque is hungry. Of course, even with his bits of power, I can't imagine he'll be able to defeat him, but that's why he uses trickery, right? This could be a good line running through the background of stories - but if I remember correctly, it becomes more of a sideline issue. Dangit.
Oh, no! His identity revealed?
Of course not. Although the story does a pretty good job of teasing it. Plausibly. Parker is just disguising himself to help out. Not a terrible story, but not a great one, either. Middle-ish. The comic explores the real-life issues of Parker - getting sick, dating, etc. For that, I compliment. But the first half of the story has that painful sixties ring to it. For the silver Age of comics, this has some tarnish, certainly. But the second half cleans up some of it. While falling into a sculptor's home is a bit inane an ending, it's a nice way to see doc ock get his again.
Toughy
Flip - both the reality sections are good, but I'll lean to SOLAR here.
