Okay. This was Valiant. SOLAR seems to be taking a good direction here. Character development around everyday problems. The slow growth around real-life issues. One of the best parts of this issue was the development of Sandria and Darque. Both have a beautiful exchange and the quote "Whom the Gods must Destroy, They Must First Drive Mad." It segues into Darque - and a stunning reaction from both Sandria and from Darque - excellent development surrounding this exchange. We also investigate Gayle's relationship with her mom, and get a quicker look into the chaos of her life, too. Excellent. Of course, most of the issue just turns around the slow revolving outside of each character - another excellent quality.
ANOTHER classic villain
I don't know how much writing was crammed into this book. They HAD to have known what they were onto when writing this book. Too much of it has become completely gold through the years. This month, Mysterio joins the ranks. Wow. While initially, a sort of too explained villain - or cheesy, as I would put it... This guy has WORKED through the years. The comic, however, a bit too much for most tastes. Nice to see Flash defending Spider-Man. The round-ness of characters has really come around.
