Doesn't this cover say it all? Somehow, I am having serious trouble imagining some kid running through the shelves, wondering, "Gee. Is there some floating heads comic with giant teeth I could read? Ah-HA!" The story is silly. And the dialogue is messed up, too. Or perhaps I mean the lettering. Just sloppy - in its overt neatness. It looks like some typewriter of insanity put it together. The story is this bad that I am commenting on the lettering? Wow. That says something. And it didn't HAVE to be this bad. Come up with ANY kind of decent villain, and we'd ALL be happier.
Warlock in the future
Many changes in the comic. And while not all of them are beneficial - many of them really are striking a change on the comic - and that's pretty good. The comic feels a lot more modern - and especially this title is in great need of an overhaul. Even though this one isn't permanent - and notice that the cover still has the retro feel - it is changing a bunch. The art starts off good - and then reverts back a bit. The story isn't very modern - and that hurts it. It could be a bunch better if it wasn't so kooky - but it isn't BAD yet - unlike the neighbor over there.
