I actually changed the title after I read the comic. I had it listed as 'classic closure.' I changed it because the end was a wreck. The comic had a beautiful build - and I even felt for Sam as he approached death. The death was well-put. But the comic failed in a few other ways that could have rested the comic in a much more satisfying manner. First, don't have the little sad scene at the end. That was terrible. And Faith? She's hardly in the ending. Give up on the fact that she was the last piece connecting Harbinger to its origins. But the change - AGAIN - in the art is terrifyingly painful. GIVE the closure, and I will buy it. Rip it away, and I won't follow the other parts, too.
Ugh.
This X-Men battling Lucifer and Dominus had to be one of the strangestly bad stories I have read in quite a while. I actually started hearing some of the old Super Friends and Spider-Man songs in the back of my head while I was reading it. Campy, poor dialogue, and a throwback to some of the first Fantastic Four stories battling the aliens in the first twenty issues or so. Terrible stuff. One of the few bright spots was Scott's brooding personality coming through - and the many references to hating his personality from the rest of the team. But the 'dumb girl' references to helplessness seeded this in the lowest echelon of books.
