When I finished the comic, I actually asked myself, "Did the Secret Weapons even appear in the comic? Paraman DID, but only at the beginning - and he disappears nearly completely by the end of the book. Not CERTAIN if it was intentional or not, but the closure feels much better - with only Ninjak and Bloodshot on it. Bloodshot as a villain was a cool story. Not certain why the King and I was so important - but a cool way to sort of impart the knowledge that the new directive had been a successful one. I liked this story as a whole - and the giant panel - over two pages - as a CLOSE-up - really worked. Much better than the end of Malev War Rai one, certainly.

These issues all fall along a similar pattern. Quickly close the mess from last issue, then build a new problem which comes to its heights at the end of the segment. This one, starring Sub-Mariner, is dullsville. The art is particularly excellent - feels like the Iron Man storyline has lately. But I have difficulty thinking that any person would have been following along with the Sub-Mariner story closely. The Hulk story feels like a fill-in in a bunch of ways. And it is becoming a sidelines story. Easy to see why it was a part of the Tales line - but tough to see how the Hulk survived for so many years. Bleah.
