Sadly, the story is not a terrible one - as much as the cover and content really suggest that they are. Bloodshot brings back a sad state of villains - and this one - sort of a Punisher gone bad, or a man with a death wish, is compelling. I liked the content, the story, and the art kind of worked. Now, this isn't a high point of the Valiant era - and sometimes I was a bit surprised that Valiant even survived through much of this era - but it does. It just doesn't have the level of cover bling.
The cover stinks.
Didn't even realize that it was supposed to be the Puppet Master in the comic. Glad to see them updating the classic silly villain, but into an unrecognizable form isn't the best idea. I liked the art interior, however. Easy to follow - clean lines - and really has the same feel of the Iron Man stories - really cutting the line on the new Silver Age comics. The Hulk story is fantastic - not necessarily for its story - which is fair - but more for Bill Everett's art. Wow. It is modern, appealing, and laid out by Kirby. Beautiful stuff to depict and enjoy. Full of emotion.
