Mike needed a job, right? The art is a mess in the comic. First bad, then decent, then bad, then very good. All over the place. But the story is compelling. And realistic. And downright fun. It grabs quickly, and keeps moving throughout most of the comic. A crazy romp - and a bunch of fun. It really seems to follow a realistic story telling path. I loved the character Tex, that switches sides, and joins Bloodshot halfway through. I am certain that some kind of hired assassin would know when he'd be licked, and switch sides quickly at that moment. I also liked the explosive devices placed inside of the box as a trap for the guys - but Bloodshot probably played a bit too dumb in the comic. WAKE UP, man. When you are losing - start PLAYING SMART!
Wowsers.
They have destroyed this character with this story. Total boringsville. Tough to follow. Difficult to see motivation. Tricky to believe - and giant rideable seahorses? Wow. Sadly, this character was one of the brilliant writing highpoints of early Fantastic Four issues - completely reduced to a character told within a terrible story. Yuck. On the Hulk side, the Watcher, sworn never to interfere, is interfering yet again. This time to sort of close out the Hulk story, the Watcher sends the Hulk back to the Leader with a trap - and 'kills' the Leader. After a fruitless battle with an orange hulk-esque guy. Terrible.
