A great look into the origins of Aric and his past. Great how the story is told back and forth through Aric's new old life and new. I like the perspective of Aric as a barbarian, but built of honor. Love it. This bond that he makes - almost instantly - with his past, and with primitive people, is inspiring. That's what makes this character so rounded. He isn't just a man with a weapon - he's a true battle axe against his enemies. Great book.
Captain joins the show
The Iron Man story is okay - which is too bad. Black Knight is one of my fave villains of old. I always thought it was strange that the Captain America launch took over the old numbering - since he only REALLY joined this issue. The Captain America story is a classic cap effort. Why do so many underestimate Captain America? It's America, for crying out loud. The book, though, is ho hum. It doesn't ring as one of the best at all.
