The comic started out. Light. And not super-funny, either. It almost lost touch with so much of what had made it great over the last few issue. And I've seen some of a backlash over the last few issues - like we've become comic snobs or something. And judging by the sales from issue 2... Quantum & Woody now is at the front of sales in Valiant. And it's only the second issue... AND it only had a 1:20 instead of the 1:50 cover. The comic does start slowly. Not sure if it wants to be more serious, be taken more seriously, or just is becoming more. But the first half is too light. Perhaps only one or two good jokes here. Then, the Goat shows up. And the changes take a great turn. Like to see him around - and really tearing it up. A new take on the goat - and can fit right into the whole line of the story. It returns to the story - and the death blade - or whatever it is - is a great completion to the story - the incompetence almost defeats the boys. But Woody's attempts to revive her- in the face of all that is ashen - great wrap up there. And, of course, the running gag at the end, too. Pretty good comic. Endings are always tough, and this one doesn't end beautifully, but it is a great wrap. But what in the world is up with that last panel, eh?
