I've been unkind since the switch in writing X-O. Most of them felt like burdens to read. But this one - either because it's bordered on some great story - or because the characters here are more compelling... This one feels much more organic. Like the authors are working to get everything back together and in order in the story. Bringing back Bravado - while a bit cheap - I like the character here. Many of the others are too forced onto the cover. But retelling the encounter with SOLAR - that was pretty good - both to get X-O's perspective - and to show how much he was really brushed off in the story. I liked Bravado really embracing his transition into the future - and then remembering that he was a big part of the past, too. Much better book here. KEEP IT LIKE THIS!
Versus the GLADIATOR
Not a bad break of an issue. I just can't really get over how great the character was written before his launch into an individual run - and how bad it became after the change over. This one's fair - and working its way back. I liked the appearance of this Gladiator - even though I knew that I missed his Daredevil appearances way back when. Sorry - beyond my price range to keep up there. And the cover is sweet. The logo is really working it - and him cutting through is good. But the Jasper character - I keep imagining him in the Perry the Platypus henchman guy -squirrely little voice whining back to Tony everything. Move in this direction, please.
