I am upset that the writers left from the comic - it had really been rolling up to this point. But this comic is quite excellent. LOVED it. The characters are all coming along nicely. I left the room - kids... And really was able to FLY throguh the thing at an AMAZING pace. The tension has a beautiful way of building in the comic. All things that I probably COULD have seen, but the style of the writing and the art really pushed me to just KEEP READING. The comic really had that old feel to it. The drive to not put the pages down, and keep my pace through the entirety of the thing going. Loved.
I have to confess, I was reading this in motions
The comic - without the missing piece - really goes much too quickly. The missing piece of the story was published in the one-shot Iron Man and Sub-Mariner. Especially to make to kinds of people - Astonish and Suspense - BOTH pick up the comic... If BOTH parts had lingered through... Well, if both had, it would have been in one comic or the other, right? I saw this comic for sale who knows HOW many years ago for $15 at a local comic shop. I'm sure the condition was good at best, but I keep thinking that I COULD have owned this. But I chose to buy Mephisto vs, instead. Ugh. By the middle of the comic, i think I was back with it again, but I had to GET that far. Don't know if I would have that many years ago.
