Wow. It's too bad that so much of the Valiant Magnus stuff around Unity sucked so much. Because this section of the Malev war is pretty danged good. Awfully compelling. The cover is excellent - the art inside isn't as good, but the book is great. Another two characters die - I wouldn't call them major, but certainly important. I think Valiant took its 'dead is dead' concept a bit far with its unwillingness to revive - not in the revival sense, but certainly in the killing. Not reviving is fine, but don't kill EVERYBODY! The direction is good - I love Tekla as a character, still. She humanizes the robot plight far past free will. While I hated the change-over of the humanoid character, I loved the in-air flight, and the crash into Synchron. Great book. Great.
Welcome back.
THIS was good stuff. It's great to see a good issue - especially when against such a sucky piece of crap last month. This was excellent. Nothing revolutionary in the book - but a damned fine piece of action. Hulk vs. Thing - excellent. This kind of comic made the book. I don't care how you slice it. Its only fault is not really coming to a close in the comic. The Mr. Fantastic section isn't interesting, but it is a sideline story. This may be where the FF permanently abandons all lines of crap in the past.

Both are excellent, but I'd lean it to Magnus - just because the battle didn't really end here.
