But I WAS SO WRONG! This one was a BUNCH of fun. I won't say that the entire thing was great throughout - because I was kind of losing it at the beginning. But soon after, I really started following along. This was great. I love the battles between two sides of equal - or nearly equal - and worthy sides. In this case, honor and victory on opposite sides of the battle - even though the assailants are from the same side. Gilad vs. his own daughter - and the victim is his son. A great hook, and through the neck of the start. Well-thought, planned, and executed.
See what I did there?
I also really like the rough at the edges plan in the art, too. It really stands out against the initial EW - excepting the BWS stuff. The pacing really has a great blast against the initial start, too. When the story fast-forwards into the future - it really embodies a beautiful sense of peace and quiet. I can really feel Gilad's closeness to his animal. And the end of the comic. Great appearances there. Loved it.
