It isn't often anymore that I really feel the comic moving below me, but multiple times during the read of this comic, I kept saying to myself, "This may be my favorite comic..." From the art - beautiful shifting back and forth. Of course, I had a fascination with the old McHenry art. That hit me in the mouth. But also, the lead in and transition from one panel to the next, and one section of the story to the next felt beautiful. I really found myself quickly thinking back to the old Eternal Warrior segments - where Gilad existed in one time - and a beautiful parallel story was told. It built upon the base from the last book, too. And I am feeling the change - knowing that the story will be concluded within the four issue arc, but I still didn't mind. I loved the homage cover, too. Ironically enough, I was teaching background pitfalls to students today - and whenever I hunted for a background pitfall photo, this image came up. Cool connection.
