Remember our deal?
An interesting story. I'm not sure that it's told at the right pace - and many Valiant books had some long-standing suffering throughout the line, certainly. But the story - especially when you look over the WHOLE of the story - makes a lot of sense. Shadowman gets back to home - and finds his Mom and his 'father' need his help. It quickly rolls into a story about his reanimated REAL father - and I must have been sleeping or something - but didn't see the Darque connection until the reanimation point. What do ya know? He IS going to hold Jack to his old deal made over Aerosmith.
Oh, no! It's a stereotype!
Pretty silly issue - and insanely silly villain. A masked marauder who is able to fight through the use of a cape. Wow. This one is pretty painfully bad as a villain. Really bad. We do see how DD reacts when his senses are thrown off, and we start to get a sense of his powers a little bit more. It's starting to sound and feel a lot like the Mirage stories will. Bad stories, but better writing. At least it has better writing, right?
