It really flowed into a telling of a tale of real depression. I could feel myself even slowly dropping into my own real bout with misery - or perhaps what a person with a real nasty level of depression might face. It was tough. I especially loved the meeting of the admitted dead inside the adventure. That was hard - and kind of funny. And I liked the descriptions of passage of time, too. Interesting to see how slowly the tiny bits of the story collapse away bits of her psyche - and eventually laid the line down for exiting - and shouting - at all of the misery surrounding, and that was what drove her into the misery that followed. One hell of a tale. Ha, ha.
I love the Black Panther.
The Panther brought some different levels into the Avengers - and not just the book of a unique underused race in its pages. He also had a split allegiance - and one that eventually brought him out of the group. More than likely due to lower popularity - but the character was a real stretch to put into the book. And although Man-Ape is distinctly odd - and probably a far cry from a realistic character type... I mean, a head over his head? The story was a rather good one. Trap a person - and then slowly lure them out. Great balance both with a look forward - and quick recollections of the story before. Plus, the reveal at the end - nicely done. A great little story.
