And more than certainly a game that the damned would love to play, right? Pitting each other against one another - in some rough survival until the end to gain admittance. And all some crazed joke. That was interesting. And exactly like hell would probably have been. Strange how the comic shifted artists - and really decided to condemn Calero - but he got his revenge against some later Valiant characters, right? Still marks strange to me that Acclaim would cancel the comic with one remaining. I mean, it isn't as if they completely folded, right? Just paused it for now? Until later? And started coming out with new stuff. Could be worse - Shadowman 6, right?
A beautiful story throughout.
So much complexity both forward and backward within this comic - and so many things that a student of these comics can really see being put down within it. I probably wouldn't ever be able to go through them fully - and funnily enough, the story contained within the actual pages of the comic is actually a little mediocre. I like the assembly of villains - and some of them are really great. Love the Grim Reaper, for example. Swordsman, too. Even though Power Man is more than simplistic - and Man-Ape as a character is dull - the fact that their team really only revealed itself here - pretty cool. Then, take a look at the comic bringing back Wonder Man here. And while it's really revealed that the pattern of him is within the Vision (I know - a bit TOO trite) it also put down tracks for bringing everything back together.
