Not certain who came up with this cover. But it does nothing for the book inside. Nearly every page has superior art to this little train wreck showcase. The story is pretty memorable. For a lot of little things. First, I love the return of the Armorines in the book. Although they played a minor role in the book. They seemed like supporting villains, or adversaries. And not much of the conflict was really a threat. I did like how they were changed. In addition, I loved the SOLAR actor and the additional action figures from the alternate universe story. The best part of the story, though, was SOLAR's insistence that he was off into exploring only himself as a 'hero' or not hero. Abandoning Seleski's identity was a major change. And great.
Great book again.
This one delves into more of the problems that Pete has been facing with being the super hero/ regular student. Great how we can keep exploring this in a different way, too. Connors getting defeated by using the cold against him was an excellent way to put him down. Many kudos to the writing of forty years ago. If I had taken a moment and thought, I might have been able to catch up to it - but it was a well-done story, nonetheless. The conflict of Peter, too - especially balanced against MJ's unbridled optimism - and the realization of Pete that much of his problems come from his outlook, too. Great.
Tough call.
But SOLAR has shown a major improvement this month.
