I am starting to get the feel of this story line. Not saying that I like it yet. Might have been better to go back and at least link the story up to this one a little bit somehow. The characters are starting to feel more developed, but I can't help myself constantly comparing the whole thing back to the old Watchmen throughout the read. Sin seems so much like the old Hooded Justice. The references to World War 2 are drawing my attention, too. But the biggest thing you should pay attention to is the letter in the letters page - the reader has a nice link up.
Romita throws down the gauntlet
I would love to say that the comic went downhill after Ditko left - he was an amazing part of the original Spider-Man run. But this comic really showed that some of the best stuff was to come. When I think of the classic Silver stuff - this is some of the stuff of the time that the legends created. It made these books. An iconic cover - and really taking over as far as the art goes. It opens up Spider-Man to his weaknesses - and makes the villains of the comic round, as well. Where the heroes had been created as complex characters - now the other side could really show its true colors, too. Amazing.
Sorry.
Cool concept and idea - but Spider-Man is a classic issue.
