I don't know why I sat on this for so many months.
Yes, I do. It's the end of the school year. I am dying with the work load of garbage. The art on this has faded quite a bit. Not really a fan of THAT change. But the story keeps getting better. The biggest problem with the old Spider-Aliens was that they were so one-sided. All bent on killing. These guys have complex levels throughout, and Aric is really seeing through them - but fighting with the complexity that he may also have to eradicate them. I also liked Shahara leaving Aric - to repair. Especially since the others now have to face the fact that it is truly sentient. Really liked the fact that the old 'first' user came back, and that many of the Vine are also seeing its sentience and the choice to support the Visigoth - amazing turn of events there. Really great story.
Comes down to a battle
This one seems to be slowing into the station. It isn't bad, but it's easier to see why Justice continued and this one failed, too. It was also one of the first issue that I kept thinking to myself, "she's a girl..." I am guessing it's what kept many readers away initially - or in a continuing fashion. And that's fine. It's not much to crow about at the end. Keeping the character inside of the can for so much of the comic - and she IS out for much of it - just stunts her development. And it's too bad. It started out really fun, but slowed down, shed some fat, and really destroyed itself. The Troubleshooters weren't a bunch of help - but this government interaction destroyed it.
