On the boards the other day, someone mentioned that the best part of Harbinger wasn't Pete. And Faith wasn't the most notable hero, either. The most notable part of Harbinger - and I agree - is Harada. The book is called Harbinger. Remember - that's his foundation. His group - and this starts and ends with Harada. The book does do a bit of re-telling of the ending from the last book - as expected. Turns out, the kids are OKAY! Hooray! And Eclipse WANTED to leave. But Harada laying a plan to take Aric over in the future - excellent. Especially when we know that Aric will die killing Harada's body. This is a much better link to the Chaos Effect.

Trask, you fool! So begins an excellent trek in the chapters of X-Men comics. The Sentinels - are the re-birth of World War II paranoia. And an attack on muties begins! Of course it wasn't perfected until much later, but... Trask immediately loses control of his invention - on national TV, no less. Nice work, dummy! The Sentinels - in their first form - are tough guys - but still relatively small in comparison. I'm not sure if writers intended such a long-reaching perspective with mutant-kind, but it became by far the most enduring part of the comic. Certainly in the eighties - past the Civil Rights big thrust of the Sixties - and even today has become representative of the gay rights movement. Both Ian McKellan and Singer have referred to its personal connection to them through X-Men films.
