This one could have been needed by a few collectors. It's a solid look at Shadowman - and creates the background of the tragic character - not of Jack - but of the Shadowman. Even though it flows through Unity, it also shows the side through Jack - one that really flowed only through its pages. The inclusion of the Darque passages initially puzzled me. Then I opened it, and remembered Seaborn's dedication and writing. In a few occasions, it's one of the best places to justify the reading or purchase of a Valiant comic. No exception here. The biggest treasure in the book is the inclusion of the sketch - new Shadowman included - and essay from Bob Hall. Excellent letter. Not saying it brought me to tears or anything, but it was a nice gift.
