The comic tackles a delicate issue - the extremist control over nuclear weapons. In this case, a terrorist fighting for Palestine. The villain is an extreme caricature of what any villain would be. And that is where much of the story falls apart. Had the story told of a more believable villain - or extended it over a few issues - we might have seen more. But this format - flying through a book - really doesn't do much for it. I love the cover - and the looking at a tough topic - but the story telling just doesn't do the story much justice - especially with so much greatness in this comic. It feels like many of the stories - we missed the beginning AND the end.
Sweet.
Sub-Mariner was one of those great villains right from his first ever appearance. This story is certainly better than most of the Giant-Man stuff up to this point. The first story revolves around trying to regain his throne in the undersea kingdom (really the other stories are Invisible Woman and taking over the world). Although he has to sneak out, we realize that his captor has been double-crossed, too. The Hulk story is a pretty good one. The co has Hulk regaining his mind as Bruce Banner because of the bullet lodged in his brain - an ahead of its time story , for certain.
