Great issue. Does it follow a pattern of Aric's stupidity? Yes. He's a bit of a stubborn dolt. Don't drink anything, dummy! But, it is a nice attempt at another new character trying to attack - or grab the X-O armor. I liked how Ken is still a moron - and trying to bring some of the women who don't know anything that he's talking about - back in to attack on his side. The tying to the stake is excellent. Even though the issue is rather predictable, and absent of any trying plot - the book is a fun one. Nice to see Aric is again acting as a bit of a fool in it. Fun one.
Serious turn in the issue
Iron Man got much MUCH better in this book. And it was already the better half of the comic, most certainly. Of course, it does involve the Black Knight arriving on scene. I love the Black Knight. And in this comic, it seems like some real strives are being made toward improving EVERYTHING in the book. Beautiful art - creative framing, excellent use of full page spreads, this book has it all. Captain America, however, is more terrible-ness. Ugh. I am hating on him a lot. A LOT! Really? They harnessed some crazed thing from way back on Lost in Space to attack Cap? Sad.
