I mean that finally - one issue from its end - the issue may have finally made it to some sense of real identity. And it took some serious work from the NFL Superpro status it was feeling way back when. It still isn't even close to good yet. But it has done a serious set of overhauls on the comic, characters, story, and message. It is still written for a fifth grader. It;s beyond Star comics, but just barely. And that may be its biggest downfall. Certainly the comic industry was at the cusp of changing over. But the simplicity of helping the minority janitorial staff involved in a drug ring of SERIOUSLY racist commentary - especially when measured by today's standards... Well, it was ready for retirement.
