I have made no secret of the strength of nearly the entire run of this comic. In fact, in a lot of ways, the run was much better than Bloodshot - and certainly much better than the end of Bloodshot. And much of the stuff after about 35, too. This one had a beautiful way of really coming around the full circle of all of the comic. It brought in the closure of the attack - and put Bloodshot back into the driver's seat of the future of the comic, too. It felt, too, that the comic wasn't reaching around from behind and attempting to extricate everything that had been done before it, too. Of course, the comic had been cancelled, too. Along with Trinity Angels? Talk about the sides of the comic in Acclaim universe being completely different! This one was fulfilling, different, and had a ton of heart. It remained true to its entire origins - in this universe - and started over by turning a new leaf, too. TONS done right through the entire comic. A beautiful way of closure. Off to VEI Bloodshot!
That is terrible.
This here is certainly the heart of the crap in the whole HULK SMASH era. And does anyone else think that if General Thunderbolt Ross was bounding around attempting to kill the Hulk - and instead just destroying most of the military budget by dropping millions of military vehicles into the scrap heap? General - you're demoted! More of the attacking - getting Maximus down - things blowing up... Strangely, I am starting. STARTING, mind you... To enjoy the art on this. But it is certainly nothing to really be enjoyed, or anything. It's real garbage.
Hulk vs. Rai
Hulk in decline (at best) is crushed by the start to my fave comic. Handily.
