But this new direction - that was not a terrible idea, too. Nice to see the changes here in direction - of course, bringing Darque back in - great idea to fill in and connect back to SOLAR. But I didn't remember SOLAR being such a part of the final Unity 2000 thing. I will get there soon enough. Bringing the book back in - brilliant - and certainly some of the strongest moments of the earliest sections of the comic universe. And revealing it to Darque - pretty cool idea. But bringing Bloodshot in? Not certain where it might be going - other than his soon demise, of course. This may be one of the most puzzling sections of the Acclaim universe. How this could have been ignored - but all of the rest survived? Trinity Angels? Sure. Cancel that. But Bloodshot? And keeping Magnus going? Wow. Wish I had been reading there.
Woefully mis-used character
From the beginning of the Fantastic Four, I found Namor to be one of the most rounded characters - and especially as a villain - that really grounded most of the title - and helped develop a real modern version of a villain - not just a bad guy. But through the years - including here - he's been so badly done - that few times have I ever been compelled by a story since. He comes off again as just some hot-head. He could be a real foil to the Hulk's immediate reactions - and could bring about some real change in the guy. Especially since they had been featured offsetting one another. Instead, here he becomes a foil of one-dimensional attacks on the under-developed and dull Hulk.
Hulk vs. Rai
Hulk in decline (at best) is crushed by the start to my fave comic. Handily.
