Sort of looks like he belongs in a bad Dragonball-Z episode or something. But Magnus and the PSI-Lords and ex-freewill robots disguised as people are all fighting crazy now. Strange about the comic - because I liked the beginning of it - even the crazy Rai hair stuff. But then when Tekla came back - and now we're kind of changing Tekla as a character. THAT always makes me mad - especially when it's one of my favorite original characters from the first-time run. The PSI-Lords return - and it's like the Great Lakes Avengers - crashing an Avengers West Coast Avengers party. Perhaps that's not even severe enough a comparison. The writers are juggling WAY too big a group of characters - and it's just hurting this title.
After a few strong issues...
Perhaps they needed a break, right? I do like the inclusion of Black Panther... and to a degree, the Inhumans. But the story is strange, and only fair. With SO much focus on the Inhumans within the bubble, it seems nearly certain that they will be back before long - and more than likely escape from the bubble. But the story with Wingfoot... Well, he's not that bad. And it IS nice to see some of the Torch on the loose. But the armored man who has slept for 700 years, and still speaks perfect English? Sorry, get a new villain.
Ugh.
I guess I will choose FF. But with great reservations.
