Some strong and brilliant moments in this comic - both in its writing and its tackling of some long-term issues - especially for Gilad as the Eternal Warrior. I'm not too glad that the Geomancer came to him as a crow - in a dream, perhaps? Or something else? But his tackling of the long-term issue - that of a real control - or lack thereof - in most of his life - that was stiking brilliance through writing and portrayal. Yes, Gilad is the defender of the Earth - but what if he really did stop? Would it stop turning? Go a new way? Or is he still just at the behest of some strange control. Then - the suggestion that he brings the Geomancer through his own indifference at the attack? Wow. Strange classlessness and irony built there. Of course he runs into her own attacker later - and nice hook to the next issue. Well done. Nord's art here - spectacular.
