Starts by finishing off the cliffhanger in the last issue of Jack death running. A beauty, to be sure. He stops when he remembers Sandria's suggestion to him - to remember the day of his death. In 1999. That's how he catches himself. The book also looks deeper into Sandria's relationship with Master Darque. He's one sick dude. I love how he keeps tasting his own success, and even revels in his defeat. "Stopped my passage? Sure. Now, I'll just consume all of these other morons here. See how that goes." He's omnipotent, and Jack's powers serve to be little more than annoyances to him, but they keep putting him off-kilter - just a bit. How about the cover, too? Sweet! I don't think I really like the art, per se, but it all seems to really work together for some reason. Almost like the rough style sort of fits the book. Excellent read.
Fix this.
What a mess this dog was. I am not certain how this book got into the fray of Marvel in the Silver Age - but this mess was terrible. The origin is fine - not really much told, anyway. Dad helped - wanted him to survive, work hard, etc. The dialogue is just SO bad that you just can't get around it. One of the funniest things about the book was the cover with the FF, Daredevil, and they NEVER appear in the book. Matt's friends are so badly set - ugh. Amazing this book was able to survive past this set of dogs.
