The critique of the script for Unity 2000
This is a tough monster to tackle. On the one hand, I am really examining something that never really came to exist - completely. But this being the only version, and sort of the coda to the entire mess, it's the real only place to look closely. I will muster the sacrifice. And over the first three issues, it feels like a copy of a copy. I know that Shooter ultimately was responsible for the story - but the transition from the written story over to the comic book fantasy, much of the entire ability to trace the thing was lost. It certainly was a much better read than the first three comics. Although I retain my criticism of the execution of the X-O LMD for lack of a better way to put him - the story was badly damaged on the re-write. The comics felt too much a need to re-tell the story on every comic. Let t go, and keep it up.
I found it funny in reading both sides that Shooter really hated Quantum & Woody - and Priest felt the same about Jim, too. The script was a good one - and it's too bad that the thing will remain just like the script - but a decent coda to the entire thing.
