Normally, I am not a fan of the crossover - especially when it gives an equal - or an equal-ish access to both sides of the equation. Meaning a regular artist and writer are usually the only guys who can handle the character. This time around - not only are the regular Archer & Armstrong handled well - but it seems that the writers are even handling Bloodshot & HARD Corps a little better than normal. By the way - thanks for bringing around the initial changes in Archer - showing off his retention - and remembrance of skills really felt like the initial stages. And a few of the references were priceless. "I brought the paper towels..." Beauty. Muppet Caper might not have been the best of the Muppet Movies, but it certainly is the most quotable. Vagabond made serious impact on the story, too. It's a little odd to me that the comic has effectively replaced almost all of the old HARD Corps gang - and made me forget them nearly completely. And the new set have made inroads - and from what I thought was goofy initially, I now really love seeing them around. I know, don't get attached to HARD Corps. They're like Kleenex!
A mess to now wrie around.
This comic has really built itself into a complete mess. This one - looking to be a little bit more than spiteful in slamming the door on Shooter. Don't get me wrong, it had been a mess before the resurrection of the New Universe. But with this Pitt Baby Starbrand? It's almost like a moron has gotten hold of the chains. Sadly, the writing under the story is decent - even if the arc of the story is so bad. Something else to mention - that the comic has been supplementing itself with the outside stories - both in the New Universe world - and the catching up stories of a few canned titles, too. Uncertain why, but some of them have actually been better than the main story lines. This one, for example, is excellent. Brought together both a former character and the new one.
