Dr. Eclipse. End it.
Write this down, kids. Dr. Eclipse sucks. Big time. This one and Secret Weapons one work hand-in-hand to tell a story. But remember. Dr. Eclipse sucks. Big time. The story surrounds a craziness of Dr. Eclipse trapping SOLAR within his body. Eclipse has wandered out of the desert to extract his revenge. The character isn't much more than a wisecracking SOLAR caricature. I don't get why Phil isn't able to just overpower him instantly, but it seems crazy that he'd lose to him this fast, and this bad.
Yes, that's him.
Well, well, well. This issue brings back the Ringmaster - a B or C level villain that showed up for quite a while. Meh. He's revitalized from the discontinued Hulk series (HAH!) but will be back numerous times. The issue also brings DD into the picture. Not a bad hero - but a little corny back in the day. In truth, the book feels more like a Daredevil comic than a Spider-Man one, especially with Pete hypnotized for much of the book. But when you're up against Dr. Eclipse, generally you don't have much to worry about.
Really?
Remember, kids. Dr. Eclipse sSSSUUUUUCCCKKKKSS. Big time.
