How can you tell the story of the origin of a war in a few pages? Call on Robert Venditti. Certainly his level of understanding and knowledge of the characters has written a strong world surrounding the set-up of this beautiful comic. The worlds collide - and so much is so easily recalled - both in the telling and in the past. It's like Stan Lee's old mantra - so easily wound. It picks up pieces and scatters them again to great advantage - and sets up what will be a quick, fun and distressingly easy read - if it is anything as enjoyable as this first part has already set itself up to be. Freaky brilliant story already.
