This may have been the issue that I was hoping for from the start. For the first time in a while with this comic - maybe ever in this comic - I felt like all of the characters had built a proper motivation within themselves. I could feel each character's emotions. It wasn't without the moments of heavy handedness. I could have probably dealt with a few less lines complaining about the pain coming from all of the voices inside Nudge's head. But again, seeing much more good than bad from each part really helped the read along. Who would have thought that re-shifting the focus onto the Great Grimmax could have had such an impact on the comic and its direction.
The comic also has finally developed a real level feel of the comic. We are seeing the struggle with keeping the Organism going - and devouring itself - or following what many of the people want - the continual recycle of its own inhabitants. When you think about it - that's really what we are doing here on Earth, right?
