Sometime in my youth, I thought while reading an X-Men comic book about Cerebro being able to see all of these mutants, and thinking that somewhere it had to have seen a mutant with some terrible power. This really explores the comic - and in an interesting way within itself. The powers are not completely useless, but instead form a group of people that might be interesting. It needed to rely on characterization, and starting up a group of people that I would care about. Score for the writing. It certainly delivered. As for the art - not certain that I really'get' it yet. It doesn't border on the genius for me, really. But I was able to see and LOVED the monochromatic features - especially the Home Depot/Lowe's only in green this time. Beautiful. As for these characters, how could you NOT fall in love with these kids? Nicole Finch? Beauty name - great power. Simply amazing inside of the story - and especially running from Rex-O, she really developed the awesome backbone of the story. Especially with Livewire being much of the focus here, she was able to build something pretty amazing in her own right. Loved it.
